Schmitt Premium wire ropes are made in original in Austria: absolutely precisely fitting and handmade of the highest quality. Fast machine manufacturing processes to save costs are intentionally not used here. The inner wires are made of special cable steel (and not of the more brittle stainless steel most commonly used today). This is why Schmitt Premium wires do not break as quickly as those from mass production. Schmitt wires for classic vehicles are manufactured in the same design that was standard at the time the vehicles were made. This means that a true-to-original wiring is always used for all fans of classic vehicles. Because an inner wire made the old way tends to rust, it is lubricated for life with an Interflon high-performance liquid grease.
