If you have a Dakota/VZ50 with lower frame numbers than 9249377 (1972), remove the 3-point bracket on the footbridge, you have no nut to secure it in. If you have a Dakota/VZ50 with chassis number 9337610 or later (1978) you should have a surface-mounted brake switch, then you can remove the mount for it.
Painted parts should be considered as primed, in many cases in the right color, but topcoat is still recommended to achieve the best quality. Small scuffs and scratches may occur.
Some adjustment of fastening ears and mounting holes may be required.
