The voltage limiter effectively protects the lighting by preventing excessive voltage and dampening harmful voltage spikes. Excess voltage is diverted to ground, which extends the service life of the bulbs. It is typically used for headlights and taillights and, depending on the electrical system, also for certain instrument panel lights, the horn, etc., on the AC side. Important: The unit must have very good contact with ground via the housing (mounting screw). The unit should be mounted on the vehicle in a way that ensures adequate cooling!
